These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of FamLee First Mobile Notary services and website. By using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
By accessing our website, scheduling appointments, or using our mobile notary services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our services.
FamLee First Mobile Notary provides the following services:
- Mobile notarization of legal documents
- Loan signing agent services
- Document witnessing and acknowledgment
- Apostille and authentication services
- Emergency and after-hours notary services
All services are performed in accordance with Maryland state laws and notary regulations.
As a client, you agree to:
- Provide valid, government-issued photo identification
- Ensure all signers are present and willing to sign
- Have documents ready and properly prepared
- Provide accurate appointment and location information
- Pay all fees as agreed upon
- Comply with all applicable laws and regulations
- Provide a safe and accessible meeting location
Service Fees
- Notarization fees are set according to Maryland state maximums
- Travel fees may apply based on distance and location
- Emergency and after-hours services incur additional charges
- Fees are quoted before service and must be agreed upon
Payment Terms
- Payment is due at the time of service
- We accept cash, credit cards, and digital payments
- Returned checks incur a $35 processing fee
- Unpaid balances may be subject to collection efforts
Appointment Scheduling
- Appointments can be scheduled online or by phone
- We strive to accommodate same-day requests when possible
- Emergency services are available 24/7 with additional fees
Cancellation Policy
- Cancellations must be made at least 2 hours in advance
- Late cancellations may incur a service fee
- No-shows will be charged the full appointment fee
- We reserve the right to reschedule due to emergencies
Service Limitations
- We cannot provide legal advice or draft legal documents
- We cannot notarize incomplete or improperly prepared documents
- We cannot notarize documents for individuals who cannot be properly identified
- We reserve the right to refuse service if legal or ethical concerns arise
Liability Disclaimer
Our liability is limited to the fees paid for services. We are not responsible for the legal effect, validity, or consequences of notarized documents. Clients should consult with attorneys for legal advice.
We operate in full compliance with:
- Maryland notary laws and regulations
- National Notary Association standards
- Federal and state privacy laws
- Professional ethics and conduct requirements
All notarial acts are recorded in our official notary journal as required by law.
All content on our website, including text, graphics, logos, and software, is the property of FamLee First Mobile Notary and is protected by copyright and trademark laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.
We maintain strict confidentiality regarding all notarial acts and client information. Our privacy practices are detailed in our Privacy Policy. We may be required to disclose information pursuant to legal process or court orders.
Any disputes arising from these Terms or our services will be resolved through:
- Good faith negotiation between the parties
- Mediation if negotiation fails
- Binding arbitration in Charles County, Maryland
These Terms are governed by Maryland state law.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on our website with an updated effective date. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
